You may permanently delete your Bayt Al Maerifa account directly from the mobile app. This page explains how to start the request, what you must confirm, and what happens to your information.

How to delete your account in the app

1. Sign in to the Bayt Al Maerifa mobile app.
2. Open the account menu.
3. Select “My Profile.”
4. Scroll below “Change Password.”
5. Select “Delete Account.”

Before deletion

Before your account is deleted, the app asks you to confirm that you understand:

• Account deletion is permanent.
• The account will no longer be usable.
• Personal information will be anonymized.
• Academic history may be retained anonymously where required.
• The user will be signed out after deletion.

To protect your account, you must enter your current password before deletion can be completed. If the password is incorrect, the account will not be deleted.

After deletion is completed, you will be signed out and returned to the login screen. You will no longer be able to use the deleted account.

Data deleted or anonymized

• Your account is permanently deleted.
• Your personal profile information is deleted or anonymized.
• Your active app sessions are ended.

Data that may be retained

Some academic, administrative, accounting, security, or legal records may be retained when required or permitted by law. Where possible, retained academic history is kept in anonymized form and is no longer associated with your deleted account.
